Merger and acquisition activity for cryptocurrency companies have doubled; reports JMP Securities.

Despite the declining or stagnant crypto prices, merger and acquisition activity in the cryptocurrency doubled in the past year amid a 54 percent slump in bitcoin prices, stated CNBC.

New opportunities for growth via consolidations and acquisitions, as tokens associated with startups companies, remained correlated to bitcoin rather than actual company value.


JMP Securities’ Satya Bajpai  see this as “land grab” for innovative technology, “ideal opportunity for strategic acquirers.”


Opening doors to new markets, intellectual property, and infuse of talented employees through M&A with help to build profitable and lucrative portfolios.


Mergers and acquisitions have become a way to go forwards then the old arduous task to building companies from scratch.

Catch them early with smaller deal size, while gaining open access to greater talents pools.
